Bethesda officially announces Rage 2, gameplay reveal tomorrow

Until then, watch the leaked trailer (which does not show much). Hopefully Rage 2 will see the franchise finally realize its full potential.

The sequel to the polarising open-world shooter RPG has always been teased with Bethesda even suggesting that it could be a thing as far back as 2016. This trailer confirms that the game is real, and that the Walmart listing was legit (at least for this particular title).

We're not sure what else the Fallout publisher has up its sleeve, but it has been a while since a brand new Elder Scrolls game... Some were games many already expected to see emerging soon, such as Borderlands 3, but one listing took everyone by surprise: RAGE 2, a sequel to the 2011 post-apocalyptic shooter-RPG.

"The official gameplay reveal for RAGE 2 will release right here tomorrow, May 15".

While the first person shooting in Rage was fantastic, its auto combat was somewhat lacking.

Last Friday, we here at Kotaku UK were theorising that today, Monday May 14th, would be the date Rage 2 would be announced. It will support PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

As more and more games move into always-online multiplayer gameplay, there is some part of us that's expecting Rage to go the same way. Perhaps it's an entirely new game from Bethesda Game Studios. The revelation comes just ahead of the official announcement from its publisher Bethesda, that is scheduled for today i.e May 14, 2018.
