The low-priced Logitech G305 wireless mouse launches this month

Logitech has announced a new wireless gaming mouse that's created to be portable and extremely affordable. It includes the LightSpeed wireless technology seen in higher-end mice from the company, such as the G903, but also features Logitech's High Efficiency Rated Optical (HERO) sensor which is claimed to be highly power efficient. Of course, that lower price also means that there are a few concessions to be made, but all in all, the G305 sounds like a decent mouse that boasts some of Logitech's popular features. "There's never been a better time to go wireless". Plus it runs off a single easy-to-replace AA battery that provides up to 250 hours of frantic clicking, making it the ideal travel mouse to pack alongside your laptop.

With the Logitech G305, you can play at peak performance with the industry-leading HERO sensor.

The Logitech G305 also uses the company's Lightspeed technology, which offers 1ms report rate for users.

Thanks to the extreme power efficiency of HERO, battery life is incredible. Switching the mouse to Endurance mode, with an 8ms report, will supposedly extend the battery life to up to nine months.

Even with so much technology inside, the Logitech G305 is not heavy or bulky.

The Logitech G305 LightSpeed is the company's most affordable wireless gaming mouse yet, priced at $59 (about £40, AU$80). It is durable, yet compact and lightweight at only 99 grams for high maneuverability, thanks to its efficient, lightweight mechanical design and ultra-efficient battery usage.

Although the simplicity of the mouse gives it an nearly ambidextrous look, the Logitech G305 is unfortunately limited to right handed users given its two side buttons. Now that Logitech has broken both barriers, does the G305 interest you?
