AUDIO: 911 Call That Led to Krista Glover Being Arrested

AUDIO: 911 Call That Led to Krista Glover Being Arrested

When asked how she was attacked, Glover's wife hung up and Glover answered when 911 called back. "My wife has called you".

Krista Glover, the wife of former U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, was arrested on charges of domestic violence after she went after her husband and his mother after he failed to make the cut at the Player's Championship this past weekend. Krista Glover, 36, called the police in the midst of the May 12 fight, which took place at their Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida home. The former US Open champ eventually gains control of the call and tells 911 Krista is lying and "has gone insane".

The deputies wrote in their report she resisted them and refused to get into the back seat of a squad vehicle by trying 'to tense her body and blocking herself from sitting down in the auto'. But her husband Lucas, 38, soon jumped on the phone and contradicted what his wife said. Lucas said, "My mother is the one bleeding and my wife has gone insane".

Glover then tries to prevent the female dispatcher from sending an officer to the scene saying: "No, I don't think anyone needs to come out here, thank you though".

Krista also allegedly threatened to leave him with their children and that he would "never see their kids again", the report said.

Krista Glover is charged with misdemeanor counts of domestic violence battery and resisting arrest without violence.

That's according to the call audio released Wednesday by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, they allegedly found Krista and Lucas arguing on the porch. Present were Lucas Glover, his wife, and his mother, Hershey Glover, according to the arrest report obtained by Heavy.

There are certainly better ways to handle a bad round of golf.

You know the story from here: Krista made a scene while cops tried to get her into a police auto, Lucas told authorities she verbally berates him when he plays poorly, and the kids are probably traumatized because this is all went down in front of them.

Lucas told authorities that Krista "had been drinking throughout the day, and after playing a bad round of golf today, she began yelling at him in front of their kids and his mother", the report states.

The police report said Lucas was exhausted of these altercations, but simultaneously tried to dissuade officials from arresting Krista.

He said he didn't want his wife arrested.

Glover addressed the incident on Twitter, writing that there had been an altercation but "everyone is fine".

When the operator points out that his wife is who called, Glover replied: "Well, she's going to lie to you". He has three career PGA Tour wins and more than $20 million in career earnings. He graduated from Clemson University in 2005.

According to the report from St Johns County Sheriff's Office, the incident involved the couple, who were married in 2012, and the player's mother.
