Bucks reportedly agree to terms with Mike Budenholzer as new head coach

Mike Budenholzer, a candidate for the Knicks' head-coaching job before it went to David Fizdale, has agreed to become the next coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, multiple reports said Wednesday.

For general manager Jon Horst, Budenholzer had always been his top target, and a finalized contract is expected to be completed soon, league sources said.

ESPN had reported on Tuesday that Budenholzer, the front-runner for the Bucks job, and San Antonio Spurs assistant Ettore Messina, the other finalist, were meeting with ownership in a second round of interviews. Budenholzer met with Giannis Antetokounmpo Wednesday morning, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.
