Scott, Badds grab United States open berths

Herbert produced a dominant display at Portland Golf Club in OR, firing rounds of 66 and 64 to finish three shots clear of the field at 12 under and, more importantly, grab one of the four US Open spots on offer in Portland.

After all, the former world number one hasn't missed a major appearance in nearly 17 years, with his 67 straight appearances since the 2001 British Open second only to Sergio Garcia's 75.

Competing in a field of 120 players, Scott excelled at Brookside Golf & Country Club and an even-par 72 at Lakes Golf & Country Club saw him squeeze into the qualifying spots with one stroke to spare.

The Australian list for the US Open is: Scott, Baddeley, Jones, Herbert, Jason Day, Marc Leishman, Cameron Smith, Jason Scrivener, David Bransdon.

The U.S. Open is June 14-17 at Shinnecock Hills. He made birdie putts of 30 feet, 18 feet and four feet, saved par from the bunker with a 6-foot putt and then birdied the 18th from 20 feet to make it by two. "I haven't played one of these in a long time but I really did enjoy playing today", he said after the round.

The unique thing about his qualification is that Campbell qualified for the US Open through the same sectional qualifying. The top 60 on the Official World Golf Rankings earn automatic entry into the U.S. Open.

Georgia Golf Hall of Famer and 2016 U.S. Senior Open victor Gene Sauers of Savannah finished as second alternate at 1-over 145 (73-72).

True Thompson Is the Cutest Baby Ballerina in Khloe Kardashian's Video
In two separate videos on Instagram Stories, True is sitting on a couch wearing a cute tutu. Surprisingly, Khloe chose to forgive Thompson and give their relationship another chance.

"I'm pretty pumped to make my major championship debut, it's definitely something you dream about as a kid growing up and playing golf", Herbert said.

Scott's best U.S. Open finish is a tie for fourth in 2015.

Steve Stricker, 51, earned one of the qualifying spots at the Memphis sectional, where he tied for second with Canada's Mackenzie Hughes, behind medalist Sam Burns.

Schniederjans, who finished tied for 42nd as an amateur in the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay, said he has not played Shinnecock Hills before, but he is looking forward to it.

But it would be Adam Scott who would be under the most pressure late in his round needing to par his last four holes at the Lakes Golf and Country Club to hold on and avoid a playoff for what would have been one spot against nine others.

Fox - ranked 122 in the world - was overjoyed to book his place and follow the spike marks of compatriot Michael Campbell from 13 years earlier.
