"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" Latest Trailer Shows Off Gorgeous Visuals

Dope's Shameik Moore voices the leading man while New Girls' Jake Johnson joins as Morales' mentor from another dimension, Peter Parker. The handsome animation style makes for a unique blend of colors and designs popping all over the screen, sometimes even paying homage to the comics with text bubbles.

Joining The Get Down's Shameik Moore, who's voicing fan-favorite web-slinger Miles Morales, is Moonlight Oscar victor Mahershala Ali as Miles' uncle Aaron.

The animated movie promises to introduce fans to a whole new universe of Spider-Man characters, including Spider-Gwen. Watch the new Spider-Man: Into The #SpiderVerse trailer now - in theaters this Christmas. The script was written by Phil Lord (of The Lego Movie fame) and will feature Spider-Gwen, Kingpin, and Prowler, even though we don't get to see them yet. If the phrase "Spider-Verse" hadn't tipped you off, we're talking multiple dimensions, multiple incarnations of the superhero - and yes, Spider-Gwen is here too, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is hitting United Kingdom cinemas on 14 December.

The trailer saved the best reveal for last, as we learn that Peter and Miles aren't the only spider-people we'll interact with. A trio of them are teased in this very trailer, but since the Ultimate Universe is slightly less well known, we wanted to break down just what they're all about. "He's such a fun and exciting new character, and telling his story through a revolutionary visual style makes for a totally fresh cinematic experience that, if we may say so, is freaking unbelievable", producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said in a statement.
