Edelman's suspension would seem to open the door a crack for the rest of the teams in the AFC East.

The New England Patriots were dealt a potentially major blow on Thursday morning with the announcement that veteran wide receiver Julian Edelman will be handed a four-game suspension to start the 2018 NFL season due to violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy.

Edelman told reporters earlier this week that he was feeling confident with his knee and was not planning on wearing a brace. In fact on Thursday evening Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy wrote a story titled, "Julian Edelman case gives Bill Belichick more ammunition against Alex Guerrero".

"Those things are personal". "I loved it previous year and I'm having a lot of fun now, so that's obviously what's most important to me".
