Pronounced "tie-kahn", Porsche says the name roughly translates as "lively young horse", as in the one on Porsche's crest, a crest that's remained unchanged since 1952.

The all-electric four-door sports vehicle is created to sit between the Panamera and the 911 in Porsche's portfolio.

Porsche has revealed the name of the production Mission E all-electric sedan, which will launch as the 2020 Porsche Taycan. The company, which is part of the Volkswagen Group, now offers several plug-in hybrid models and sold just over 900 of the Porsche 918 Spyder, a limited-edition plug-in hybrid supercar.

Porsche has christened its first electric sports vehicle.

The lawyers would have to present a detailed argument for why Trump's testimony would be relevant to a system arbitrator first. When asked if he'd invite players to the White House for a roundtable chat, the president said he doesn't have to do that.

The vehicle had previously been known as the Mission E. It will have a range of over 300 miles, produce over 600 horsepower, and accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds. Tesla's highest-performance cars and SUVs can get to 60 miles an hour even faster - in less than three seconds. It's an apt title for the freshest model in Porsche's stable. Other electric cars can't handle repeated hard acceleration because their batteries will overheat. Digital projects, such as networking via Porsche Connect and data security using blockchain in sports cars, will also feature. Porsche adds that the auto will also offer consistent power levels "unprecedented among electric vehicles: multiple launches in a row will be possible without a loss in performance, and the vehicle's maximum range will be over 300 miles as measured in accordance with the New European Driving Cycle".

Porsche has said that it would build ultra-fast charging stations at all of its 189 dealerships in the US and 300 more. Features such as the flared haunches, LED tail-light strip and coupe-like rear end will remain to echo the looks of the 911 sports vehicle. Prices are expected to start around $80,000 to $90,000.

Porsche has said it plans to double its investment in hybrid and fully electric vehicles to more than 6 billion euros (£5.2 billion) by 2022 as parent Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) seeks to overcome an emissions-cheating scandal and tap into growing demand for greener transportation.
