That gives a country leverage as demonstrated by this week's meeting between North Korea's Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Donald Trump in Singapore. The safety precaution seems extreme until you remember that both Nikhita Krushev and Mikhail Gorbachev reportedly unintentionally gave the Central Intelligence Agency stool samples during visits to the U.S.
