Samantha Bee Controversy: Jon Stewart Responds to Ivanka Trump Insult

As a Daily Show correspondent, Samantha Bee held the position while Stewart hosted the show longer than any other person, appearing in 332 episodes between 2003 and 2015.

Bee apologized as advertisers pulled away, but conservatives saw it as a liberal media double standard after ABC cancelled the highly popular show starring Trump-loving Roseanne Barr, whose tweets last week were widely viewed as racist, comparing a former Clinton ally, who is black, to a monkey. Arguing that apologizing is akin to falling in a trap concocted by the political right to moral police the left, Stewart told The Daily Beast that the contours of comedic or political discourse can not be a prerogative of one group of people.

Bee faced intense criticism from President Donald Trump after she called his daughter Ivanka a "feckless c--" on her TBS show, "Full Frontal".

During a Q&A session with Peter Hartlaub of the San Francisco Chronicle at Comedy Central's Clusterfest this weekend, Jon Stewart defended Samantha Bee " s "Feckless Cunt" comment. Stewart said there is nothing anyone can do to "make them give up this "We're the real victims" game", because, "it's a game, it's a strategy, and it's working".

Valedictorian speaks out after claiming graduation speech censored
Seitz told CBS San Francisco station KPIX-TV, "The school continually censors students". They even pulled her out of her very last class in high school to remind her, she says.

"Why aren't they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the frightful language used on her low ratings show?" he tweeted Friday morning.

The morning after the segment aired, Bee released an apology to both Trump and her viewers "for using an expletive on [her] show to describe her last night".

He also advised, "Don't get caught in a trap of thinking you can live up to a code of integrity that will be enough for the propagandist right". "And so, create your own moral code to live by, but don't be fooled into trying to make concessions that you think will mollify them". "That is probably-he says that instead of 'please, ' I'm guessing".

CNN has contacted a representative of Stewart for comment.
