Three More Sporting Players Ask To Quit Club To Make It Five

But after Monday's move by Dost, Martins, Fernandes and Carvalho, the president told reporters: "We will resign if the athletes write a letter to Sporting saying, firstly, that if this management quits they will reverse their terminations and play for Sporting".

William Carvalho, Gelson Martins and Bruno Fernandes have already advanced with Sporting's request for rescission, while Rui Patrício and Daniel Podence are also set to depart the club this summer, as reported by Portuguese news outlet Record.

Sporting Lisbon President Bruno de Carvalho has offered to stand down if key players withdraw their threats to leave the club in protest at his behaviour which some say amounted to psychological violence.

Portuguese side Sporting are still feeling the affects of ultras breaking into their training ground last month and attacking a player as three more players have asked to have their contracts terminated.
