Lemar snubs Liverpool, Arsenal to join Atletico

Atletico Madrid have announced they have made an agreement in principle with Monaco to sign coveted France midfielder Thomas Lemar.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi admits that signing Antoine Griezmann from rivals Atletico Madrid this summer would be a "brilliant" coup for his side.

Earlier on Tuesday, Griezmann said he has made a decision on his future but refused to clarify where he will play next season when speaking to reporters at France's World Cup camp in Russian Federation.

Arsene Wenger was reportedly targeting Lemar to be the replacement for Alexis Sanchez last summer transfer window deadline day as the Gunners were working on shipping Sanchez out to Manchester City.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta visited Monaco earlier this month and has managed to strike a deal with the Principality club.

Gal Gadot To Star With Dwayne Johnson In ‘Red Notice’
The combined audience love for both stars could give Red Notice a leg up at the box office in terms of opening weekend numbers. The actress, model and Revlon spokeswoman also just appeared in a music video for Maroon 5, and is now filming Wonder Woman 2.

"The two clubs will continue to work in the coming days in order to find a definitive agreement".

It is believed that Griezmann will accept a deal that will make him the club's highest-paid player following a massive campaign by manager Diego Simeone and the rest of the staff urging him to stay.

And amid speculation linking him with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano, Griezmann called a press conference yesterday while on World Cup duty with France to reveal he has reached a decision. "The decision will be made at the right time".

He made his France debut in 2016 and has scored three goals in 12 global games.
