Priest loses his temper and slaps a baby during baptism

This is the weird moment a baby's relatives are forced to wrestle their child away from a French priest who slapped it during its baptism.

The incident took place inside a church during a baptism ceremony, as seen in footage that emerged on Wednesday.

The clergyman begins to look irritated at the loud noise and raises his voice to be heard over the baby's crying, apparently speaking directly to the child.

A woman can be heard saying something to the priest before the man has to physically remove the baby from the priest's arms. The baby is crying loudly and the priest appears to be trying to get the baby to stop crying. gathers that at the start of the ceremony, the woman, believed to be the child's mother, was carrying the child while the priest began proceedings. I will spill water on the forehead, hmm? "So, calm down. Calm down". The family remained quiet for a few moments after the incident, but then the baby is grabbed out of the priest's arms by the child's father.

He repeatedly says "calm down" before suddenly slapping the baby hard in the face.

People on YouTube took to the comments section to express their outrage at the priest's behavior.

"This is in front of cameras, what would happen behind the scenes when you leave a priest and a child alone?" one person wrote.
