'Blood moon' to grace Nigerian skies on July 27

The longest lunar Eclipse of the XXI century can be observed in the night from 27 to 28 July.In addition, throughout the nights in the sky will Shine brightly Mars. Scientists have described the "blood moon" as the longest lunar eclipse in a century when the moon is visible in red for human naked eyes.The eclipse will appear in two parts, from which the first total lunar eclipse will occur, then there will be a partial eclipse, of which it will last longer than one hour. Other than India, countries of South America, Africa, Middle East and Central Asia can also see the blood moon. While its peak will be at 16:21 EDT (03:21 Western Indonesian Time).

During the eclipse, the moon will enter the shadow of the earth for about four hours, and the event will be seen clearly across at least three continents, officials said.

The last total lunar eclipse took place on January 31, with observers catching a glimpse of a super blue blood moon.
