Castlevania returns to Netflix in time for Halloween

Other upcoming anime shows on Netflix include "Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle" set to air on July 18, "Castlevania Season 2" on October 26, and "Cannon Busters" on April 1 next year.

The second season of the "Castlevania" anime and the second movie in the 3D "Godzilla" trilogy has gotten Netflix release dates.

The two new series announced during the panel are Ultraman, coming Spring 2019, and Kengan Ashura, coming some time in 2019. The official Twitter account for the anime fantasy series confirmed the date. Season 2 will continue after the events of the first season finale.

Castlevania Season 2 sees actor Richard Armitage (he of The Hobbit fame as dwarf Thorin Oakenshield) reprising his role as Trevor Belmont, with Warren Ellis returning as scribe on the show.

This announcement comes on the heels of reports that a third season of Castlevania was already in the works. Konami's video game series is considered a classic and sequels have continued to appear on new consoles in the decades since it debuted.
