Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus transfer reportedly close, sending shares rocketing

Cristiano Ronaldo has announced he will leave Real Madrid to play with Juventus of the Italian league in a transfer deal worth nearly $140 million between the two clubs.

"Beyond all the trophies and matches he won on the pitch during these nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo has also been a role model in commitment, hard work, responsibility, talent and a desire to always exceed himself".

Real Madrid described Ronaldo as one of the club's "great symbols" for his success on the pitch and the example he led off it. Ronaldo is set to end his Real Madrid career after nine years, in which he became the club's all-time leading scorer and helped it win 16 major trophies. On an individual basis, with the Real Madrid jersey he has won 4 Golden Balls, 2 The Best FIFA awards, and 3 Golden Boots, among many other awards.

We're still waiting on confirmation of the widely reported £88 million deal that would send Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus.

"If this transfer were to materialise, I'd be happy for the club and the fans".
