British man poisoned with nerve agent regains consciousness

A Bristol company came under fire for its "Novichok" vodka when its launch coincided with the death of Dawn Sturgess after exposure to the notorious toxin. Mr Rowley remains in a critical condition.

Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said police were unable to say if the nerve agent the couple were exposed to was linked to the March 4 attack on former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in Salisbury.

He had also been sentenced by the accountability court to one year in prison on charges of abetment in the Avenfield case. The interior ministry has placed their names on the Exit Control List , which bars individuals from leaving the country.

"Dawn will always be remembered by us as a gentle soul who was generous to a fault", they said in a statement released by London's Metropolitan Police.

Residents also claimed he had told them both his auto and his clothes were being taken to the government laboratory at Porton Down to be destroyed. "Those involved have the training & expertise to safely remove the vehicle" and the risk to the public remains low".

Detailed searches are continuing at Sturgess's address at John Baker House, Salisbury and Rowley's home in Muggleton Road, Amesbury, along with Queen Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury.
