Former UCLA basketball star Billy Knight found dead at 39

Former UCLA basketball player Billy Knight was found dead Sunday morning in Phoenix. I lied, I cheated, and I stole. That's why my life ended up where it is now.

"I isolated myself from my family members", Knight said. The Phoenix do not suspect any foul play in Billy's death.

"This is probably my last message on Earth", Knight says on the video we're not linking to. I isolated myself from my friends.

Mental illness is a awful disease and should be treated very seriously.

"I hear voices in my head constantly. I just ask God for forgiveness for all the wrong I've done".

This is heartbreaking news for UCLA fans and basketball fans around the country.

Fulham win race to sign Jean-Michael Seri?
Seri has not joined his Nice team-mates for their pre-season training camp, leading to suggestions that he could be set to finalise a move away.

"Mental illness is serious", he said. He also noted that he "felt like I didn't belong here on earth".

Knight cited his religion, saying "I am sorry, Lord", and acknowledged that he could end up in heaven, hell or somewhere in between.

Before ending the video, Knight said that he left some stuff behind for his brother and that he would be "looking over him".

Knight broke out at UCLA in 2001 - when he started all 33 games and averaged 14 points on 46 percent shooting from the floor. Knight started all 33 games in the 2001-02 campaign, but he never broke into the National Basketball Association, bouncing around the D-League and France and Japan after his college career. "We ask that the Bruin family keep Billy's loved ones in their thoughts during this hard time".

Knight was a basketball operations assistant for the Northern Arizona Suns of the developmental G League in the 2016-17 season.

Northern Arizona Suns officials issued a statement Tuesday evening saying they were "deeply saddened by the passing".
