Kim sets LPGA mark with 31-under total at Thornberry

SEI YOUNG KIM destroyed the LPGA Tour scoring record when she won the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic with a staggering total of 257 - 31 under par.

Going into the final day of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, the South Korean already held an eight-shot lead and went on to close with a seven-under 65 round on Sunday, putting her on 31-under 257 overall.

It was a remarkable weekend for the 25-year-old, who hit just one bogey and carded scores of 63, 65, 64, and 65 at Oneida. For the tournament, she never recorded a bogey, with her only blemish being a double bogey at No.17 on Friday. No one, and I mean no one ever dreamed there would be this many birdies but the Oneida Nation is a generous bunch and there was nothing wrong with witnessing golf history this week, re-written by one Sei Young Kim. Yang, with a birdie on the final hole for a 68, tied for third at 20 under with Emma Talley and Anna Nordqvist, who each had a 67.

"In a word, phenomenal", said defending champion Katherine Kirk, who finished 15 under and tied for 20th.

Her 32 holes of birdie or better were yet another record - improving on the 30 sub-par holes in a tournament achieved previously by three players. But two years ago [at the] JTBC, [when] I shot 27 under to tie the record with Annika Sorenstam. "When someone plays that good, she deserves to win". "She had a heck of a week and I'm really excited for her". She obviously knows how to win.

Including her final round of 63 at this event previous year, Kim has now played her last 72 holes at Thornberry Creek in 33 under par and her 7th LPGA Tour title now appears but a formality.

Caroline Flack confirms split from fiancé Andrew Brady
According to Mail Online, things between Caroline, 38, and Andrew, could get messy as they fight over who will look after the dog. The couple did split in March over cheating rumours but were quickly reunited - only for them to split again this week.

But she dropped shots on eighth and ninth before a stretch of pars.

The result never looked in doubt as Kim began Sunday's round with an eight-shot lead, and it proved to be the case as she tore up the course for the fourth successive round.

Knox closed with a 6-under 66 to set the clubhouse target at 14-under par. "So, yeah, I did today, so I'm very happy with another good round".

Kim and Brooke Henderson are the only players to have registered LPGA wins in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
