President Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May, seen during a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels on Wednesday, will reconvene this week in the United Kingdom.

London mayor Sadiq Khan has given the okay for a giant orange blimp to fly over the streets of London.

The "Demonstration Alert" issued by the embassy also tells Americans to "exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings that may become violent".

Trump Baby, designed as a statement of protest as Trump visits the United Kingdom this weekend, was brought to life by a crowdfunding campaign, which exceeded its initial £5,000 (S$9,000) target so exponentially that there are now plans to take the balloon around the world, following - and taunting - the U.S. president wherever he goes.

A black-tie dinner will be hosted in Blenheim Palace near Oxford.

The next stop on the president's tour of England is a helicopter journey to Winfield House, which is the American ambassador's residence located in Regents Park.

He will spend just one night in the capital before going to Prime Minister Theresa May's country retreat Chequers in Buckinghamshire.

Embassy staff said "numerous demonstrations" were planned for Thursday to Saturday with the majority around central London on Friday. Thousands of people are expected to turn out.

The president is then set to take tea with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle, before heading to Scotland and the rolling green landscape of his golf course.

Mass protests are expected across Britain, leading police to mobilize to a degree not seen since 2011.

Mr Khan said: "If it's peaceful and if it's safe".

The U.S. Embassy issued the advice on Tuesday ahead of the President's arrival on Thursday for talks with a Prime Minister Theresa May.

Assistant Chief Constable Chris Shead, from the National Police Coordination Centre, said: "Police forces are working together on a significant, multi-faceted security operation supporting the presidential visit to the UK".

Mr Trump raised eyebrows when he went out of his way to praise Boris Johnson after he resigned as foreign secretary, while insisting it was up to the British people whether Mrs May remained in office or not.

She said: "I think he means to put America first and I think he's been doing that and he's been very consistent with his campaign promises". After the visit, Trump will decamp to Finland for a one-on-one with Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 16.
