Chelsea sack Antonio Conte 7 hours ago

Chelsea's bitter battle with Antonio Conte could take another twist -after the Italian was left "disgusted" over his sacking as the club put the finishing touches to Maurizio Sarri's appointment as their new head coach.

However, Conte's apparent dismissal drew a response from Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas, who liked a tweet a Chelsea fan posted about Conte having been sacked although the Spanish 2010 World Cup victor subsequently claimed he had liked it by accident. He became the 10th permanent manager to work under Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich.

Now that a deal has been done for Sarri, Conte and his coaching staff have been sacked by Chelsea.

Conte has managed Chelsea for the last two seasons, winning a Premier League title and an FA Cup in his time there.

Those two helped him reclaim the Premier League title for the Blues in 2016-17, but behind the scenes Conte was never satisfied with his level of influence in Chelsea's transfer dealings. Great man, Great manager.

Tribal Football citing the Mirror claims the Stamford Bridge outfit might be forced to sell their record signing having failed to impress in his first season at the club.
