Musk calls mini-sub rescue plan critic ‘pedo guy’ in Twitter tirade

Elon Musk went on a freakish rant against a British diver involved in last week's Thai cave rescue after the diver mocked the billionaire tech entrepreneur's proposed plan to help with the mission.

Elon Musk himself has hit out at the suggestion that his creation of the miniature sub was anything other than a genuine effort to help, saying that the mockery he's received on the internet in recent days has "shaken" his opinion of many people.

Vern Unsworth, a British rescue worker and cave diver who was "instrumental" in locating the boys before transferring the mission to more specialized rescue operatives, criticized the billionaire for his promotion of a submarine that Musk claimed could assist in the rescue.

"He had no conception of what the cave passage was like. It wouldn't have made the first 50 metres of the cave".

But the head of the rescue mission dismissed the option in favour of sticking with the plan for experienced cave divers to help the boys swim out.

McDonald's added that they are "committed to the highest standards of food safety" and are "closely monitoring this situation". Iowa is experiencing a similar outbreak, according to a statement from the Iowa Department of Public Health.

In another tweet, Musk says he "never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand" and challenged the suggestion he was asked to leave the cave because his assistance wasn't necessary.

A British caver who helped rescue a youth soccer team and their coach from a Thai cave earlier this week slammed Tesla CEO Elon Musk for his child-sized submarine.

Rolling his eyes Mr Unsworth told CNN: "It just had absolutely no chance of working". The submarine was reportedly 5 feet and 6 inches long, small enough to carry one of the boys but likely rigid and obtuse in the tight, murky dimensions of the cave network. "Thai navy seals escorted us in - total opposite of wanting us to leave". Huge credit to pump & generator team.

When a CNN journalist pointed out that Musk had been inside the cave, Unsworth shrugged. Musk lashed out on Sunday, saying he would make a video proving that his "mini-sub" would have been successful and adding: "Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it".

"You know what, don't bother showing the video".
