Liverpool sharpen their attack with the addition of Xherdan Shaqiri

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has questioned their deal for Stoke City attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.

"I'm very happy to be here".

Now, Liverpool supporters know nothing is official until you see a player leaning on something at Melwood, but the Swiss Football Association have bizarrely jumped the gun and announced the transfer themselves.

Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Wembley last term. The Swiss winger was Stoke's best player as they were relegated to the Championship and proved he was too good to be playing for a team fighting the drop.

The Swiss global previously attempted to move to the Reds during Brendan Rodgers' tenure in 2014 but saw the deal blocked by Bayern Munich.

Shaqiri had a release clause in his deal with the Potters and made it clear last month that he wanted to leave the club after they fell out of the Premier League.

His last-minute victor against Serbia sent Switzerland through to the World Cup round of 16 before their campaign drew to a close with a defeat to Sweden.

Home Run Derby: Dodgers' Max Muncy Ranked No
Entering Wednesday's game against the Athletics, the LSU product has put together a terrific season up to this point. And it is a reasonable probability Bregman will receive more screen time in the Derby than the Mid-Summer Classic.

'Rugrats' Is Coming Back With a Revival Series and Live-Action Movie
Arlene Klasky , Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain , creators of the original 1991 series, will return as executive producers. Rugrats first premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991 and would go on to run for nine seasons and 172 episodes.

Alisson Becker 'set for Roma talks over future'
With little over three weeks left of the transfer window, Liverpool are still looking to bolster their options. Real are also sniffing around, although they may chose to take Chelsea's Belgian star rather than Alisson.

'Score as many as me in the 23 and you'll be a bargain!,' he wrote above a photo of Shaqiri showing off his new shirt.

Shaqiri is Liverpool's second major acquisition of the summer after Brazilian midfielder Fabinho joined from Monaco.

But a number of Liverpool stars are not back yet and will report at a later date following their World Cup involvement.

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Xherdan Shaqiri will be part of Liverpool's squad for the United States leg of their pre-season campaign. "When someone like him becomes available in this way you..."

'We are the ideal move for him in this moment as well I think, because he needs to push himself and challenge himself and our environment encourages that.

His concentration will now turn to preparations for the Premier League season.

That was a big point for me to come here, because of the coach.
