The Raptors are the even-money favorite to land Kawhi Leonard

It comes as a major surprise given teams like the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers were previously linked most often to Leonard. Leonard grew frustrated with the Spurs' handling of his quadriceps injury last season, and though Leonard has met with head coach Gregg Popovich, reports emerged that Leonard has also hid from his coaches during the regular season.

The 76ers' future is incredibly bright, and while Leonard could take the team to new heights, he might not be worth such a massive move given the level of uncertainty.

The recruitment of Kawhi Leonard has been a long and unusual one. ESPN's Brian Windhorst then said in an appearance on SN 590 The Fan Wednesday that National Basketball Association executives believe the Raptors are one of the best positioned teams to make a play for Leonard.

As the Kawhi Leonard saga continues to unfold in San Antonio, the question on everyone's mind is where will he land.

"The Sixers' most realistic package to submit to San Antonio could involve Dario Saric, Robert Covington and the Miami Heat's 2021 unprotected first-round pick", The Inquirer's Keith Pompey writes.

Trump, Putin meeting kicks off in Helsinki
House Speaker Paul Ryan, who rarely criticizes Trump, stressed there was "no question" that Russian Federation had interfered. Justice Department and intelligence agencies that Russian Federation interfered in the 2016 election.

It seems like forever since we've even seen Leonard.

As Pau Gasol goes, if he does make his way to the Sixers along with Leonard, I can't see a situation where the 38-year-old stays on the team with two years remaining on his three-year $48 million deal.

It would seem a steep price to move one of the two stars who helped the Raptors earn the top seed in the Eastern Conference, but so far, no other team seems willing to part with anything close to the hypothetical deal the Raptors are offering.

If the Spurs including Gasol in a deal with Leonard for any combination of Sixers players increases the chances of Leonard coming to Philly, then sign me up for that.
