Leeds defeat a reality check, says Derby manager Frank Lampard

Leeds defeat a reality check, says Derby manager Frank Lampard

Derby improved straight after the break as Harry Wilson fed Mason Mount, but he dragged his shot just wide of the post and just beyond Martyn Waghorn's despairing dive to reach the ball.

Marcelo Bielsa's brilliant start as United head coach continued in great style as the team won 4-1 in what was remarkably their first away win since Boxing Day past year.

It was little surprise that Bielsa, retained the starting lineup that disposed of Stoke so impressively on the opening weekend of the Championship season.

"Derby County has good players and a head coach that will allow the team to play an important role during the Championship".

Leeds need not have anxious about the near miss as they made it 3-1 on the hour, Roofe producing a great turn in the area to get clear before rifling a left foot shot into the top corner of the net.

Justin Bieber Reveals Why He Was Seen Crying In The Streets
Justin Bieber is sporting a slicked back hairdo after getting his hair cut on Wednesday afternoon (August 8) in New York City. While the couple rode bikes around New York City something spurred a roller coaster of emotions.

Mateusz Klich bent home a stunning strike at the end of a thrilling team move to put the visitors in front inside five minutes at Pride Park on Saturday. While the defenders stood off him the Polish midfielder calmly picked his spot and curled a shot beyond the reach of Scott Carson for his second goal in two games this season.

Alongside Aston Villa and Swansea City, Leeds are one of three sides with a 100 percent start and trail only table-topping Middlesbrough - who have played one more game - after they beat Birmingham City 1-0. Lawrence smashed the free kick over the wall and through the grasp of Peacock-Farrell, who appeared to have the shot covered but could not stop it.

Although an impressive free-kick from Tom Lawrence drew the Rams level minutes later, two goals either side of half-time from Kemar Roofe and another from Ezgjan Alioski secured the points.

But Roofe struck again on the hour when he spun onto Klich's pass and drove a left-footed shot past Carson from 12 yards, and Leeds made it 4-1 in the 64th minute. Carson was called into action to deny Roofe at point-blank range with Tomori making a last-ditch block to deny Ayling on the rebound. The 25-year-old striker still had a lot of work to do when he received the ball from Klich in a crowded penalty box.
