Omarosa says she 'was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation'

Omarosa Manigault Newman campaigns for then-candidate Donald Trump in Charlotte on October 14, 2016.

When Manigault was sacked from her White House post in December 2017, she recorded her sitdown with Gen. John Kelly, Donald Trump's chief of staff, who broke the news.

Omarosa Manigault-Newman claimed to have been complicit with the Trump administration in deceiving America during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday morning.

"Hearing it changed everything for me", she told NPR reporter Rachel Martin. According to a published report by the media organization, when asked to clear up the discrepancy, the former White House aide said Martin must not have read the book.

Manigault Newman's book also alleges how Trump made a farcical effort to sell copies of his book Trump: The Art Of The Deal at his inauguration as President in January previous year. The Post has reviewed the agreement. She said Sunday that she had since heard it personally after the publication of the book. The White House says the book is "riddled with lies and false accusations".

In "Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House", the former "Apprentice" star paints the president as a racist who casually dropped the N-word during tapings of the show.

Trump OKs stiffer tariffs on Turkish metals as lira plummets
With the currency diving, Trump authorized higher tariffs on Turkish imports on aluminum and steel of 20% and 50% respectively. The reaction from global currency markets caused the euro to slump to a 13-month low and pushed the dollar to a one-year high.

She said the recording took place in the Situation Room, raising questions about security and ethics.

The Situation Room "is the inner sanctum within an already-secure facility where the most sensitive of the most sensitive information is discussed", Price said. "It's where negotiations with Iran were hashed out". "If I didn't have this recording, listen, people would still think trying to set off alarms".

Price said cellphones and recording devices are not allowed in the room, though aides are not screened before entering. In a subsequent interview, she changed her story to say that she had heard Trump utter that word, a reversal that highlighted her not-exactly-sterling level of credibility.

Newman then claims that Trump backtracked and stated that he was just joking, but that she knew he really did mean what he had suggested. Trump launched his political career advancing the birther conspiracy about President Barack Obama.

She said: 'I was told exactly what Donald Trump said - yes, the N-word and others in a classic Trump-goes-nuclear rant - and when he's said them.

"Being used by Donald Trump for so long I was like the frog in hot water. Obviously, I failed miserably".
