Arsenal 'confident of new Aaron Ramsey deal'

But there are few players in the world who could replace the world-class Frenchman especially given the economy of today's transfer market.

Arsenal are increasingly confident of agreeing terms with Aaron Ramsey over a new contract despite interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, according to the Mirror.

SS Lazio and Barcelona, along with Chinese Super League clubs, have shown a desire to sign the 27-year-old.

‘Abrupt thaw’ of permafrost beneath lakes could significantly affect climate change models
For centuries, a massive store of carbon has been locked underground in the Arctic's permanently frozen soil known as permafrost. Methane bubbles up from the thawed permafrost at the bottom of the thermokarst lake through the ice at its surface.

Ramsey is reportedly willing to bide his time in order to improve his bargaining position as he holds out for an offer in excess of £250,000 per week. To make things even worse, Ramsey was at his very best last season despite the Gunners finishing 6th.

Since his arrival in the Premier League in 2008, Aaron Ramsey has slowly become a crucial part of Arsenal's squad and is among the best midfielders in England's top tier. I refuse to believe that Arsenal will pay him that to get him to stay beyond next season.

He can begin negotiating with foreign clubs from January to leave on a free transfer the following summer, which could force Arsenal to sell when the window reopens in the winter.

Arsenal had lost Alexis Sanchez to the Red Devils during the January transfer window because of a similar situation and they can not afford to lose Ramsey.
