Forza Horizon 2 Is Leaving Xbox's Digital Marketplace in September

Developer Turn 10 revealed this week that the game, first released in 2014, is reaching its "end of life" and will be delisted from the Xbox store at the end of next month. That means that the game and its associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase.

Microsoft has announced that Forza Horizon 2 will be removed from the Microsoft Store on October 1. After September 30, players who own Forza Horizon 2 will still able to download and play the game and its associated content as normal.

The company said that Forza Horizon 2 has reached its "end of life" status, and will no longer be available for sale after September 30.

There's no doubt that Forza Horizon 2 has been a popular entry in Microsoft Studios and Playground Games' long-running racing simulation series, as the title received a bevy of positive post-launch reviews from both fans and critics alike.

Luckily, the game is now available for free as part of Games With Gold for the month of August. The same will be true of all the game's DLC.

Incidentally, Horizon 2 is now free to download for Xbox Live Gold members until the end of August so if you're an avid Xbox gamer, you really have no excuse for missing out.
