Fox News Actually Corrects Donald Trump's Embarrassingly Blatant Economy Lie

With his most pointed criticism since leaving office 20 months ago, former President Barack Obama broke his silence on USA politics in recent days, first on Friday at a college in IL to criticize "the politics of division and resentment and paranoia" of President Donald Trump and supporters in the Republican Party, then on Saturday at a rally in Anaheim while campaigning for seven Democratic congressional candidates.

Of course, anyone paying attention at all during Obama's tenure in the White House knows this is peak absurdity; Obama himself frequently fomented hatred and division based on race, gender, economic status, and political ideology.

Asked about the veracity of the statement later that day at a White House press briefing, Hassett said: "So I can tell you what is true".

"Some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back", Obama said, during a town hall in June 2016 criticizing Trump's campaign.

"Well, how exactly are you going to do that?"

Trump has not negotiated better deals, not on any front.

Meanwhile, under President Obama, quarterly GDP "hit 4 percent or higher four times, and even exceeded 5 percent once", ThinkProgress reported in July.
