Top White House economist fact-checks Trump on GDP claim

On Monday, one of Trump's economic advisers attended the White House press briefing to push back against the Obama arguments.

Hassett addressed a Trump tweet, in which the president falsely claimed that America's GDP outgrew the unemployment rate for the first time in a century, by correcting his boss.

'So I can tell you what is true, ' Hassett responded.

"'President Trump would need a magic wand to get to 4% GDP, ' stated President Obama".

"When you hear about this economic miracle that's been going on, when the job numbers come out, monthly job numbers, suddenly Republicans are saying it's a miracle - I have to kind of remind them, actually, those job numbers are the same as they were in 2015 and 2016", Obama said.

China vows to respond if USA takes new steps on trade
Auto industry analyst Ed Kim told the Guardian that Trump's tariffs have, effectively, ruined Ford's plan for the Focus. The Trump administration is poised to decide whether to extend that to another $200 billion of Chinese goods.

Trump ups ante on China, threatens duties on almost all its imports
Efforts to negotiate a U.S. "The Chinese aren't paying these tariffs, American families are going to pay these tariffs". The tariffs would potentially hurt USA companies that import everything from handbags to bicycle tires.

Petrol, diesel prices hit new highs as opposition stages Bharat Bandh
However, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley denied the request saying global oil prices volatile and haven't shown any linear movement. According to reports, the Centre imposes a total of Rs 15.33 per litre of the excise duty on diesel and Rs 19.48 on petrol.

"What is true is that it's the highest in 10 years, and at some point, somebody probably conveyed it to him, adding a zero to that, and they shouldn't have done that", Hassert said, the Washington Examiner reported.

Then he brought up another recent glaring error, when Sanders inaccurately claimed Trump had achieved more gains in African American employment than President Obama had in eight years.

"I have to kind of remind them, actually", he said in an address in IL, "those job numbers are the same as they were in 2015 and 2016".

World class narcissist and former President, Barack Obama, gave a speech on Friday at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he brazenly laid the current state of political division within the country at the feet of President Donald Trump and the GOP. "I guess I have a magic wand". They also occurred at the end of Jimmy Carter's and the start of Ronald Reagan's - leaving Trump and Obama in an unusual tug-of-war for credit.

Official data show this has happened frequently in the post-World War II era, according to AFP fact-checking, and the White House acknowledged Monday the tweet was incorrect. But, as Mallin pointed out, Obama never mentioned the GDP. "We have just begun", Mr. Trump tweeted. And again, I'm not the chairman of the 'Council of Twitter Advisors, ' he said.
