Nick Carter ‘will not be charged’ in sex case

"My family and I were well aware of the likelihood that my case was not prosecutable due to the statute of limitations in California regarding rape which was modified in 2016". "This will be hard, but for the love of my fans here in Lima I'll be on the stage tonight", said Carter, who married his wife back in April 2014.

In a 2017 essay published by Schuman, the 34-year-old alleged that a small group of friends was having drinks at Carter's apartment when he asked if she wanted to go to his office to hear some new music. The alleged incident occurred in 2003, with Schuman claiming that Carter raped her after she refused to perform oral sex on him.

Shortly after her blog post was published, Nick, 38, issued a statement in which he vehemently denied the allegations, and insisted anything that happened between them which was sexual was consensual. "My friend couldn't help me, I didn't even know where she was".

She claimed that she was "forced to engage in an act against my will" by Nick, who allegedly took her virginity when she was 18 and he was 22. "I'm heartbroken", Nick wrote.

"It feels unbelievable and it's insane how much more in love you can become when you start this phase of your life", he said about seeing Lauren pregnant.

The charge evaluation worksheet stated that, because the statute of limitations had passed, "an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence is not warranted and the matter is declined".

Mr. Carter's attorney, Michael Holtz, told in a statement that "Nick Carter was vindicated today when the L.A. County District Attorney's Office rejected the charges against him".

"Nick has denied these allegations ever since he first learned of them a year ago, and was confident the district attorney would conclude that there was no basis to pursue charges against him", Michael Holtz said in a statement.

Holt added, "He is happy to put this matter behind him".

This is not the first time that the couple has gone through their share of struggles to have a child, as they also lost one other child to miscarriage when Kitt was 16 weeks along in a previous pregnancy.
