Patriots Reportedly Signing WR Corey Coleman

In addition to Coleman, the Patriots also reportedly signed wide receiver Bennie Fowler III, according to ESPN's Field Yates. The moves come a day after the team waived Riley McCarron, who fumbled a punt in the opener on Sunday.

Coleman, selected by the Browns with the 15th pick in the 2016 draft, was released by the Bills a month after Buffalo acquired him in a trade with Cleveland. The Bills dropped him during roster cuts.

The 24-year-old played in 19 games with the Browns but injuries meant he missed significant time. With Julian Edelman still suspended, New England has rolled with a thin receiver group, consisting of Phillip Dorsett, Chris Hogan and Cordarrelle Patterson.

The Bills and Patriots won't meet this season until Week 8 on Monday Night Football in Buffalo and then once again Week 16 in New England.
