New Video Shows Harvey Weinstein Inappropriately Touching Rape Accuser

New footage has been released of Harvey Weinstein behaving inappropriately during a meeting with a woman, who said he then raped her hours after. She said the incident happened while she was meeting with the disgraced filmmaker in his office at the Weinstein Company to pitch a video technology offered by her start-up company.

In a lawsuit filed in June, Thompson alleged Weinstein raped her in a hotel the same day the video was shot.

In an interview with Sky News, Thompson said Weinstein's behavior was distracting and she struggled to stay "on script" with the product pitch.

"Data's so hot", Thompson tells Weinstein in the video.

In the video, Weinstein eventually agrees to use Thompson's service.

Weinstein's lawyer says the full video "demonstrates that there is nothing forceful" and shows "casual, if not awkward, flirting from both parties".

Harvey Weinstein is escorted in handcuffs into the State Supreme Court after on Monday for arraignment on charges alleging he committed a sex crime against a third woman on 9 July 2018 in New York City.

Throughout the rest of the meeting, Weinstein sexually harasses Thompson, running his hand up her leg at one point.

"Defendant moves to dismiss the indictment or counts thereof on various grounds of alleged defect or deficiency in the presentation of the matter to the grand jury", said Cyrus Vance Jr's office on Wednesday in a response to a sprawling and politically charged August 3 motion to dismiss from Weinstein's primary attorney Ben Brafman. "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?"

"I knew I was losing the ability to control the situation and keep it professional", she said. However, she said when she arrived, he led her up to her room and raped her. "And that I need this deal from him and he has the power to give it to me".

Along the way, she said, he rebuffed her attempts to fight or get away.

At the end of the meeting, Thompson and Weinstein made arrangements to meet at a nearby hotel lobby later that night. I constantly felt trapped, no matter where I turned. She recorded the encounter as part of the demo, which she told Sky she thought she was doing with the company's marketing team.

Thompson, who had previously worked on Wall Street, rejected suggestions she encouraged Weinstein's behaviour. "We don't have to live with being raped when we think we're going to a business meeting".

"I never met anyone that I couldn't handle until Harvey Weinstein", she said.

"We believe that the People's response in its entirety makes it absolutely clear that the case against Mr. Weinstein can not be successfully prosecuted", said Brafman in a statement to Deadline.

Thompson's rape allegation is part of a class action lawsuit against the former Hollywood producer, whose career was toppled by a series of rape, sexual assault and harassment allegations past year.

The two other women in that specific lawsuit claim Weinstein battered and assaulted them in hotel rooms during incidents dating back to the nineties.

Claiming that the video tried to malign Weinstein for financial gain, Barfman said facts mattered. Instead, he brought her to a hotel room where he allegedly raped her.
