OnePlus 6T confirmed to have no headphone jack

Leading up to the announcement of its upcoming flagship handset, the 6T, OnePlus is once again dropping details about the device. In other words, OnePlus might have actually utilized the extra space, unlike some others. As rumored previously, the Optic AMOLED display on the OnePlus 6T will have 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution with an ultra-tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

It is interesting that a year ago, OnePlus' CEO Pete Lau assured the community on the company's official forums that the 3.5mm headphone jack was an essential part of offering the "best flagship experience possible" for the OnePlus 5T. Like all previous OnePlus smartphones, the 6T will not include a microSD card slot for further expansion.

Also the phone will feature a vertically stacked triple rear configuration, that will be seen above the OnePlus logo.

Strangely, the leak suggests that the OnePlus 6T will be dropping its 16MP main camera for a 12MP lens instead, while the 20MP sensor remains the same with TOF 3D. For the front, it will have a 25-megapixel camera.

We don't know yet how much they'll cost or when exactly they'll ship. The smartphone should include support for all the latest standards such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, NFC, USB Type-C., and 4G VoLTE.

Its 3,500 mAh battery is 200 mAh more than the OnePlus 6's battery, so users should expect a slight endurance bump. OnePlus 6T will run the Snapdragon 845 processor, and will be based on OxygenOS over and above Android Pie. The exact variant, however, has not been listed. The 6 GB RAM variant has 64 GB of internal storage, whereas, the 8 GB RAM variant comes with 128 GB and 256 GB of internal storage. Yesterday, we came across an alleged live image of the OnePlus 6T, but now today, we are looking at the phone's listing on a shopping website that reveals its specs, design and price.

The Giztop listing mentions that the 6T isn't available for purchase till October 16, which adds fuel to the speculation of October 17 launch.
