Nintendo Direct Rescheduled, Switch Online Launches September 18

On 9/18, your Nintendo Switch will be receiving a system update, version 6.0.0.

The new controller is designed specifically for the NES games available on the Switch console, enabling buyers to "play like old school gamers did back in the day", the company explains.

Alongside the release of the online service will come with NES-themed Joy-Cons. In today's Direct, Nintendo announced three brand new games coming to the Switch: Luigi's Mansion 3, Animal Crossing (2019), and Yoshi's Crafted World.

United States identifies two sets of Korean War remains: Mattis
Two of the sets of Korean War remains that were returned from North Korea belonged to US servicemen during the Korean War. The forensic teams have reportedly analyzed 23 of the 55 sets of remains, though some are more complete than others.

NES games available on the Nintendo Switch include titles like "The Original Mario Bros: Arcade Classic Series", "Excitebike", "Double Dragon", and more. "It will also be possible to play these games offline". Keep in mind that purchasing the set is limited to Nintendo Switch Online members only.

While UK pricing hasn't yet been confirmed, we know how much it'll cost in the US. Nintendo will also offer a family bundle for $34.99 that allows up to eight people to use the same subscription. For example, when playing Super Mario Bros online, you can use a hand-shaped cursor to point out hints to your friends now playing.

That said, it's not all rosy: One of the biggest disappointments about the proposed online play of the Switch was that the only way to get voice chat going was apparently via the dubious Switch Online app.
