Formula One unveils 2021 concept cars to improve racing

Reacting to images originally posted social media, Hamilton said in an Instagram Story: "I'm def gonna [sic] be driving if cars look like this...just please bring a V12 or V10 [engine] back".

"When you get into that position where you are two or three auto lengths behind, you are losing grip and the tyres degrade more and it becomes very challenging".

'That is not to control the development, because it's critical this development achieves its objectives, but why shouldn't we have great looking cars as we're evolving the cars?

'Once the cars get within a few auto lengths of each other, they lose 50 per cent of their downforce.

"As the aerodynamicists were evolving the vehicle, the graphics designer was taking where they were and trying to capture it at each stage", says Brawn. "It frustrates me when a auto in a video game looks better than the vehicle that we are racing out on track". We've had a designer working with the aerodynamic group, so as we've progressed.

Man United ends Watford's perfect start with 2-1 win in EPL
But like he's done many times previously, David De Gea came to United's rescue with a stunning save in the 94th minute. That goal infused the team and the fans with renewed belief and United suddenly looked nervy.

"I'm not going to pretend from day one that we will have the ideal solution, certainly from the aesthetics, because try as hard as we can we cannot anticipate every move the teams will make", he said. The concept molds some of the sleek looks from Concept 1 (with the stretched halo) and some of the more aggressive bits from Concept 2. As we've previously discussed, the sport's technical rulebook is going to be thoroughly revised for the 2021 season in an attempt to cure a number of ills including the inability of one vehicle to follow closely behind another due to the effect of turbulent air.

The second concept focused more on the aerodynamics by simplifying the various appendages - all part of the goal of making overtaking easier. The image below represents a guideline into how the new cars could look.

"One of the primary objectives has been to work on the raceability of these cars and how well they could race each other, how close they could get to each other without losing substantial amounts of performance". These proposals were to streamline the development of the cars and develop a financially sustainable future for the sport which would allow the entry of more teams and hopefully, a wider range of manufacturers.

"The primary objective is to produce raceable cars, cars that will battle in close proximity", he said. The new IndyCar is quite good in that respect, and we've been sharing some information with IndyCar on their experiences.

"I'm pretty optimistic we are going to produce some great looking cars and the are going to be able to race more closely than in the past", he said. I think it's the first time Formula 1 has majored on these aspects.
