"For the past six years, the Browns have fully supported and invested in Josh, both personally and professionally, and wanted the best for him, but unfortunately we've reached a point where we feel it's best to part ways and move forward". Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon sprints up the field after catching a pass during Wednesday's practice for this weekend's regular-season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. Gordon's 2013 campaign was the stuff of legend, hauling in 87 catches for 1,646 yards (nine touchdowns), playing alongside a number of mediocre-at-best quarterbacks. He has recorded 127 receptions for 1,755 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, he's been in a downward spiral since and Gordon was suspended by Commissioner Roger Goodell for the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Gordon, 27, missed three weeks of training camp this summer to undergo counseling and treatment, and he recently said he was in a good place mentally and physically.

The Browns got a glimpse of what a healthy and focused Gordon could do over the last five games of the 2017 season after his return from his latest NFL-mandated suspension, which lasted almost three full seasons. Coleman has played in 19 National Football League games with 18 starts and has 56 receptions for 718 yards and five touchdowns.
