Vontae Davis Releases Official Statement Announcing Retirement After Ditching Game at Half

While teams don't always look to recoup money when players retire, due to the abrupt and disrespectful nature in which Davis made a decision to leave, you can bet the Bills will do everything they can to get back the money they feel they are owed.

The Los Angeles Chargers ultimately beat the Buffalo Bills 31-20, laying out a challenging road ahead for the team.

Davis' impromptu retirement caught many of his teammates and fans off-guard.

Following the game, Davis released a statement explaining that he physically wasn't simply cut out for the world of football anymore, and that he meant no disrespect to his teammates.
