Vikings play like garbage, get embarrassed by Bills at home

The Vikings and Bills square off at noon Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Three plays later the defense did its part too, sacking Kirk Cousins - who had a frightful game on Sunday - and forcing a fumble. Buffalo's defensive unit totaled 4.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.

Entering their Week 3 matchup in Minnesota against the Vikings, the previously 0-2 Bills arguably were the worst team in the National Football League, to the point where they had guys literally quitting on them at halftime in Week 2. Buffalo got the points thanks to a 10-yard run by rookie quarterback Josh Allen, but the Vikings' defense shot themselves in the foot with two critical 15-yard penalties on the drive.

As such, the Bills were 16.5-point underdogs at the close of the day - the line was as large as 17 at some books during the week - which is about as high as you'll ever see in the NFL. Linebacker Anthony Barr added some assistance for the Bills by grabbing Allen's facemask.

5 of the best Belgian players in Premier League history
United started the season in poor form, losing two of their opening three Premier League matches. He was named in the PFA Team of The Year in that first season, and again in 2017/18.

Things only continued to get worse. Minnesota would have won that game if rookie kicker Daniel Carlson had made just one of three field-goal attempts and the organization thought they solved that issue by signing veteran Dan Bailey last week.

The 0-2 Bills are off to a rough start in 2018, and are expected to be in tough against the undefeated Vikings.

The Vikings don't have much time to recover from Sunday's debacle. This was supposed to be a matchup of two of the best teams in the conference and establish a bit of early-season supremacy. That starts Thursday night, when they head to Los Angeles to face the Rams.
