Pixel Slate: first Images of Google’s new tablet leak

Previous week Google Pixel 3 XL got spotted in Toronto on the TTC, and again there's a leak on the TTC. In addition to the premium flagship Android smartphones, Google could also launch the Google Pixel Slate. A Chrome OS tablet was one of the rumored devices that will show up, and it appears that the rumors are indeed true.

We Know that this time Google will be announcing more than phones.

The Pixel Slate will be presented together with the Pixel 3 smartphones on the evening of October 9th.

The new Pixel phones are getting a single lens camera as Google is very confident with their ability to produce incredible results without using the dual lens setup in their phones.

Alleged photos of both units have appeared online and displayed a Pixel 3 with much smaller bezels than the current Pixel 2.

The Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL could be quite similar smartphones with several common features and specifications. It is no longer been listed on the website of the Google Store and the update to Android 9 Pie has also been denied for the tablet. The tech giant will unveil the Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL at it's annual "Made by Google" event. It won't surprising to see Google name the two names with a dash of pun. The display may an aspect ratio of 3:2, and have multi-touch and stylus support. A video by Engadget reveals that the glass shades at the back of the smartphones will now wrap around the frame of the phone in a more rounded fashion. The first images of the new device have also leaked.

The top-mounted power button may also embed a fingerprint scanner, while the sides may pack antennas for cellular LTE connectivity.

Renders of the up and coming tablet have been leaked alluding to the presence of stereo speakers, USB Type-C port, detachable keyboard, and the nonappearance of an earphone jack. The accessory has four pogo pins for connectivity and data transfer. Moreover, it can easily fold, which transforms the tablet into a laptop. There have been a lot of rumours Google launching a "Pixel Mini" alongside the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL at their event on 9th October.

A deal for the Pixel 3 listed the phone as costing £58 a month if customers pay a £10 upfront charge.
