Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend Mental Health Summit

It's their first joint public engagement since Prince Louis' birth.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who recently returned from maternity leave, attended the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit at London County Hall on Tuesday with Prince William.

The young royals have been strong advocates for mental health, setting up the Heads Together campaign in 2016 through their official charity, The Royal Foundation.

Another policy up for discussion is a declaration committing to putting mental health on an equal footing with physical health.

Eagle-eyed fans of Kate's style will recognise the frock from her and Prince William's royal tour of Germany and Poland past year.

The Best Man at Princess Eugenie & Jack Brooksbank's wedding is revealed
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have been dating for seven years and announced their engagement in January. Camilla Parker-Bowles will apparently not attend this week's Royal Wedding. "Royals don't like to disappoint".

The Duke and Duchess viewed the work of contemporary fine artist Dario Vargas, who had painted an original piece for the event.

The couple also learned about Friendship Bench, part of an innovative programme from Zimbabwe, which has taught elderly women the skills to become trained 'community grandmothers'.

They also heard presentations on two case studies of active mental health programmes from Slovenia and the US and visited an exhibition area.

Prince William and Catherine flashed huge smiles. The Duchess previously wore the dress, named the "Kate", during an appearance in Hamburg, Germany last summer when she and William took a royal tour with children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The couple is also preparing for another big event on Friday when William's cousin, Princess Eugenie, celebrates her Royal Wedding to fiance, Jack Brooksbank, at Windsor Castle.
