Google Pixel Watch launch: will we see Google's smartwatch at today’s event?

"Our new Google Assistant feature, powered by Duplex technology, is able to help users with real-world tasks over a phone, like calling a restaurant to book a table", said Brian Rakowski, a vice president of product management, at the Google Pixel 3 launch event Tuesday.

However, it will likely feel a bit lackluster when Google announces the Google Pixel 3 XL, as we've already seen so much of the device over the past few months.

Google is holding a launch event today called "Made by Google", where the search giant is expected to launch a plethora of new devices.

However, if you are interested in following the live streaming of the presentation of the new Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL, you should know that the event is scheduled for tomorrow at 11 am in NY. The Pixel 3 is supposedly a 5.5in device with a 2:1 display, while the Pixel 3 XL is a 6.7in beast with a large notch. On the back, still having a two-tone effect but all glass this time which I like a lot, iconic. Google has come up with dual selfie cameras on the Pixel 3 with 8MP sensors each, while the Pixel 2 had a single 8MP front-facing camera.

Nobel Economics 2018 awarded to Americans William Nordhaus and Paul Romer
Nordhaus completed his PhD dissertation at MIT under the supervision of Robert M. Solow, himself the 1987 victor of the Nobel Prize in economic sciences.

‘Act urgently‚’ say SA experts after UN’s dire global warming warning
The authors of the IPCC report estimate economic damages from flooding, drought, and other effects by 2040 of $54 trillion. Per the IPCC, humans need to slash carbon output to 45 percent below 2010 levels by 2030 and to straight-up zero by 2050.

Sony makes it official, they’re working on a "PS5"
The PlayStation 9, coming in 2078, was first advertised as a goof by Sony in an ad campaign for the PlayStation 2. We expect that it'll announce a new console when it's good and ready, but until then, it seems to be keeping mum.

It is supposed to have a Snapdragon 845 chipset, which is clocked at up to 2.8GHz and paired with a choice of 64GB or 128GB of storage, but no microSD card slot. There will be a 12.2MP singe rear camera with 1.4µm pixels and a wider f/1.8 aperture. The Pixel 3 also comes with Top Shot which uses machine learning to take mulitiple shots to take the best shot. It costs $149 and will be available in the US, UK, and Australia on October 22. It will be available first in the USA this month, and in 12 more markets including India from November 1.

The Black and Blue Pixelbook pen is listed side-by-side with the current White and Silver Pen on the stores Pixelbook page under "You also might be into". Mashable's Raymond Wong and Pete Pachal will be on site for the news, but it's pretty safe to say we know what's coming. This was done not only through optics and improved hardware alone, but thanks to Google's AI-enabled software as well.

More plausible is the Pixel Slate tablet-laptop hybrid. The Slate will work with a keyboard, but that's sold separately. It has round keys and full backlighting. There have also been rumours in recent times that Google is working on including Windows 10 compatibility for its laptop and tablet devices, but there's no evidence of that as yet. And Google has put its custom homegrown security chip Titan from its data center servers into the Pixel line, which should ensure the operating system isn't meddled with by malware and hackers. There are speculations about a higher storage variant with more RAM too, but for that, we will have to wait till the official announcement. The Pixel Slate Keyboard comes in at an absurd $199 (about £150), which is even more expensive than Microsoft's Surface Type Covers.

Google's answer to Amazon's Echo Show is likely to be the Home Hub: a 7in touchscreen device with Google Assistant that will answer your questions not just with voice, but with pictures and video too.
