Official Nokia 3.1 Plus Specifications, Release Date, Price, Photos & more

While the new Nokia 3.1 Plus runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, the latest Android 9.0 Pie update will be rolled out in the coming months.

The Nokia 7.1 Plus could be another smartphone that could be launched at the event. It comes in two variants - 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. Instead, Nokia has opted for a more traditional 18:9, 6-inch panel complete with reduced bezels above and below. A dedicated micro-SD card slot could potentially expand the onboard storage by about 400GB. The phone weighs 180 grams which is largely due to the beefy 3500mAh battery it has underneath.

Nokia has been playing safe by showing off smartphones with Android One badge on it, promising a no-frills Android experience, coupled with guaranteed three years of security updates and two years of software updates, giving a slight edge over the army of smartphones from rival brands.

The Nokia 7 Plus is optimised to extract every bit of juice from the already powerful battery. For the unaware, the Helio P22 chipset is built on top of the 12nm manufacturing process, meaning it will have decent power saving capabilities. Battery life is a big focus here, with 2 days being promised from the 3,500mAh capacity.

HMD has added dual cameras on the rear side of Nokia 3.1 Plus. Combined, the 3.1 Plus offers hardware-based bokeh effect inside the images. The front camera is a 20MP unit. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size.

Nokia 3.1 Plus will be available at a price of Rs 11,499, though the global pricing is Euro 159, which is actually around Rs 13,000 plus on conversion. Launched initially at the company's event at Mobile World Congress this year, this feature phone is a modern take on the original Nokia 8110 and features the same legendary slider mechanism.
