Disney's Live-Action Aladdin Trailer Coming Tomorrow

Disney's Live-Action Aladdin Trailer Coming Tomorrow

Taking to Instagram - does he do anything else these days? - he revealed the first poster for the new live-action remake of Aladdin. It's a straight up teaser set to get your nostalgia tingling as you see an animated classic translated to "live-action" (I don't think there's a single shot in this trailer that isn't filled with CGI, which is fine, but it's live-action in the same way that Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book is live-action).

In the original film, "street rat" Aladdin frees the Genie from a magic lamp, earning three wishes in the process.

After the poster started making its rounds online, one of Aladdin's stars, Naomi Scott, took to social media to say how honored she was to be a part of the franchise's legacy. It features the film's iconic lamp and a secret about what awaits inside it, as well as the warning "Choose wisely".

Aladdin is directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) from a screenplay by John August (Dark Shadows, Big Fish) based on the 1992 animated film Aladdin and stories from "One Thousand and One Nights".
