Monaco sack Leonardo Jardim Thierry Henry frontrunner as replacement

According to the Sun, former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp believes the Championship side are set to make John Terry their new substantial manager as against the assistant role they initially wanted to give him.

Monaco have confirmed that they have parted ways with coach Leonardo Jardim, while reports continue to circulate that he could be replaced by Thierry Henry. Since the World Cup, it's seemed that Henry was looking for a full manager position either in England or overseas, but he was playing his cards close to the vest and waiting for the best opportunity.

Henry is the bookies' favourite to replace Jardim after previously being linked with the Aston Villa job.

However, should Monaco actually sack Jardim, then instead of handing their former striker his first job in the managerial arena The Monégasques should instead lure Arsene Wenger back for a second spell at the helm.

The 44-year-old Portuguese coach had to cope with the sale of numerous stars of his title-winning squad over the last two seasons.

The home loss to Rennes last weekend was the final straw after a ten-game winless and four-game losing streak at the start of this season that signaled the end of Jardim's tenure.
