New Arrowverse Crossover Poster Finds Green Arrow & Flash Switching Roles

One of the most popular "alternate looks" for Superman in the comics was the black costume that he wore when he came back from the dead in the "Reign of the Supermen" comic book storyline.

While sadly, Supergirl doesn't make an appearance on it, a new poster for the event launched today and it's got Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and The Flash (Grant Gustin) in each other's costumes! Resurrected Superman donned the black suit (and a mullet, it was 90's).

There's a lot to look forward to when the upcoming DC TV Arrowverse crossover, known as "Elseworlds" kicks off in December.

Stephen Amell and Grust Gustin posted the following set image on Instagram. So if you ever wanted to see a grizzled, scarred, and facial hair-sporting version of Barry Allen, and/or a lithe and sinewy take on Oliver Queen's accomplished archer, this crossover is for you.

The CW has released a new Arrowverse crossover poster that reveals The Flash and Green Arrow switching superhero identities.

The annual crossover event began with Arrow and The Flash. People have speculated that Batwoman (played by Ruby Rose), who will be introduced in Elseworlds, and Gotham City exist on an alternate Earth, which could potentially be home to the dark Superman. Superman will also appear in the crossover, with Tyler Hoechlin reprising the role from Supergirl, and Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch will portray Lois Lane in the character's Arrowverse debut.

The Arrowverse's Elseworlds crossover event takes place December 9-11, beginning with The Flash on Sunday December 9, continuing with Arrow on Monday December 10, and finishing with Supergirl on Tuesday December 11 on The CW.
