Fox News doesn't condone Hannity appearance with Trump

Hannity's opening monologue, as he calls it, took place inside the hall in front of cheering Trump supporters and a stage decked out with large banners saying "Promises Made" and "Promises Kept" behind him. "This was NOT planned".

After having expressly denied that he would be campaigning on stage with the President, the first move from Hannity when he walked on stage was to slam members of the media stationed at the back of the auditorium as "fake news", apparently not realizing - or caring - that Fox News journalists were among the "people in the back" that he had insulted.

At a Fort Wayne rally in Indiana, Trump paused when a person required medical attention, Business Insider reported.

And then Hannity directed viewer attention to what he described as an "op-ed on Fox News" allegedly written by Trump, which essentially said, according to Hannity, "If you want continued prosperity, continue this administration" and vote Republican on Tuesday. Hannity was made to cancel a 2010 appearance in Cincinnati when it was revealed he was participating in a fundraiser for the Tea Party.

Since then, Fox opinion personalities have doubled down on their support of Trump. In the past, Hannity has said that he's a talk show host, not a journalist. But in an interview with The New York Times a year ago, he said he was a journalist, more specifically an advocacy or opinion journalist.

"In spite of reports, I will be doing a live show from Cape Girardeau and interviewing President Trump before the rally", the Fox News host tweeted. He spoke briefly on camera with Trump at the end of the show.
