Champions League RESULTS: Liverpool stunned as Harry Kane rescues Tottenham

Tottenham could have Dele Alli back for their key Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven, but will be without fellow midfielder Mousa Dembele.

But captain Harry Kane breathed fresh life into his side's European campaign by equalising in the 78th minute and then seeing an 89th-minute header deflect off PSV substitute Trent Sainsbury and trickle over the line.

"I like it because after almost five years I think it's the first time that they've been critical of me and didn't agree with me - but in the end, 2-1".

It certainly promises to be one to watch as Tottenham look to save their Champions League campaign against PSV. They welcome PSV to Wembley, and need a victory along with Inter Milan to keep their qualification hopes alive.

"Now is to be focused on Saturday but talking about Champions League is about being focused on Inter Milan".

"A bit bittersweet. My first game in the Champions League, a double deflection and it goes in off me for the victor", Sainsbury told Optus Sport's Mark Schwarzer.

Despite their victory, Tottenham face a tough challenge to qualify from Group B, given they lie three points behind second-placed Inter Milan - their next opponents - and are still to face Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Arsene Wenger emphatically denies he is taking over at AC Milan
Speaking recently with Sky Sports , the Frenchman, who left the Gunners after 22 years admitted he was keen on returning as a club manager next year.

Le'Veon Bell hasn't talked to Steelers, unlikely to report this week
The question, of course, is do the Steelers really need Bell? The Steelers are set to play the Panthers on Thursday night. I have to block some of the best players on the best defense in the world.

Xherdan Shaqiri left out of Liverpool's Belgrade trip due to possible 'distractions'
Xherdan Shaqiri will miss the clash as Klopp anticipates he is likely to receive a bad reception due to political reasons. Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp said he wanted to keep the focus on football for the tricky away tie.

Spurs return to Champions League action on November 28 when they host Inter in a vital match, following Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

"We will see if Barcelona is qualified for the next stage, and of course we're going to go to Barcelona trying to win the game".

However, Kane's scuffed left-foot shot found the bottom corner before his late header took two deflections on its way in. I think the first one was a penalty, the second one was 50-50.

"So pleased with the effort for what was our fourth game in nine days", added Pochettino.

But Spurs' manager says he has no problems with the reaction and has proudly pointed out that his changes - particularly the introduction of Fernando Llorente, who set up Harry Kane's equaliser - helped his team to battle back and triumph 2-1. The trio will lead the attack for Mark van Bommel's side on Tuesday.

"I think the belief is still there and you know me, I'm so optimistic". It is not an easy period for Tottenham players or fans but we deserve credit. We did everything, everybody was fighting for the result. "We are getting wins". Whatever is the score we try to play the same way - if it is 0-0, 3-0 or 1-0 down.

Both sides now sit on one point in the group while Barcelona sit top with nine and Inter in second with six.
