Man Utd boss Mourinho has concerns about Bournemouth defender Ake

The Dutchman impressed against United on Saturday despite Bournemouth losing 2-1 to thanks Marcus Rashford's injury-time victor.

All at seaWith United's defence looking all at sea in the opening 10 minutes, Bournemouth missed three gilt-edged chances before Wilson fired the Cherries ahead with a simple tap-in following an inch-perfect low cross from the right by Junior Stanislas.

United have kept just one clean sheet in 11 Premier League games this season.

At the other end, Mourinho had clearly seen enough and threw on Rashford and Ander Herrera in place of Juan Mata and the ineffective Fred.

Anthony Martial proved once again how important he is for this United side, popping up with an important goal in the first half, courtesy of a smart cut-back from Alexis Sanchez.

"Man United look as if they're still trying to figure it out". In fact, it was the manager himself who described Herrera in the best possible way.

"I think as players you need to have thick skin".

He added: "There's so many good things to come from the game. He was really good".

The over that went for 43 runs!
The duo added 178 for the sixth wicket in 21 overs, which now happens to be a team record. We got a few no balls to help us get going.

He cleared Blaney on the first restart but lost the lead on the second one and had to track Blaney down to take the lead back. I figured when he took the top, it was going to take a really good push and position into 1 to have a prayer at it.

I had a period where everything ... if it was raining, I was angry because it's raining; if I miss, it's because the pitch is too wet.

Therefore, Martial's performances could certainly shape United's fate next week, with the Red Devils due to play Juventus on Wednesday, which will be followed by the Manchester derby on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho will look to close down the unsafe Bournemouth attack.

Chelsea's hopes of re-signing Nathan Ake from Bournemouth have been boosted by the news that Manchester United have their doubts about the defender. We didn't start pressing up or doing what we worked on during the week.

Mourinho said: "I don't belong to the discussions of contracts. I really can't understand the kind of mentality that brings me more white hair".

And that is the worst part - it is hard to explain. Bad. I thought people watching this game wouldn't believe how hard we'd trained this week. No matter how many minutes to the end of the game, we have the feeling that anything can happen.

Bournemouth took their fine form to the game and began dominating the play in the middle of the park.

However, perhaps a mere coincidence or something more, United won both games without their frontman, and that in turn has led Burley to raise the question over Lukaku's return.
