All-Star Game draft to be televised

A firm date for the televised draft has not yet been established, but January 30 and 31 have emerged as two potential targets for a TNT broadcast, according to the people, who were not authorized to discuss the plans publicly. LeBron James and Stephen Curry were captains for the 2018 All-Star Game.

The league caught some flack last season for not televising the draft.

Fans are still asked to choose the game's starters from the Eastern and Western conferences, but instead of dividing the teams by region, the leading vote-getter in each conference gets to pick any 11 All-Stars to be on his squad.

After the inaugural draft, which took place on a private conference call, both James and Curry said they would like the event televised in 2019.

LeBron James reiterated once again that he has no problem with the NBA televising the second annual NBA All-Star draft.

This should have been televised a year ago, but better than late than never.

Bryce Harper turned down 10-year, $300M offer from Nats
The Nationals offered Harper a 10-year, $300 million contract with no opt-outs on September 26, which the outfielder turned down. Even though Harper is still only 26, a 14-year deal with an average annual value of $30 million per season felt a bit excessive.

Man City star Bernardo Silva: Man Utd just another game
The analysis of Mourinho's position will never have been greater than when United travel to Manchester City on Sunday. Well, it helps when you're Juan Mata . "We played with that and we scored two goals like this".

James said he had fun with the draft-selection process. I don't think it'll be bad.

Team LeBron defeated Team Stephen in last year's game by a score of 148-145.

"It was great, me and Steph, we had a great time drafting on the phone just picking", said James, who now is in the Western Conference after signing with the Lakers.

James and Curry were the first captains to partake in the process last season.

Whatever transpires, this season's game will differ from last season's in one key way: we'll know the order in which players were drafted, meaning the game will have some potential added motivational factors.
